Oh my gosh! It’s been so long since I’ve done a beauty post for you all! I’ve actually been trying out a bunch of new products and just haven’t gotten around to writing about them. Shame on me, right? I’ve received a bunch of different products from different companies lately, and I realized they’re not the typical products you constantly hear about. That’s when I thought, I should do a post for people who like to try out new things like I do. Some people are all about finding a product they love and sticking to it. But others, like me, like to occasionally dabble in the giant ocean of beauty products out there, hoping to find some new stuff to add to my favorites. So, I’m here to give you all my top five favorite underrated beauty products!
I’m always on the hunt for a good dry shampoo. I don’t have any sort of attachment to any other brand, so I love trying out new ones. HASK just recently released their new line of dry shampoos, and they come in four different kinds. I opted for the coconut one because, well duh, summer! This stuff smells incredible, as if you just washed your hair, and is really great at absorbing excess oil. Also, it comes in a huge bottle and is under $8! You really can’t beat that. I’ve got my eye on the Argan oil kind for the winter time. You can get all four of them at Ulta beauty!
During the winter months and early spring, I’m always looking for new self-tanners to try. I really like St.Tropez but it’s a little on the expensive side. When I came across the NKD SKN brand though, I thought “self-tanner for under $20? Sign me up!” I tried it and absolutely loved it. The lotion comes out white and gradually tans your skin for 1-3 hours and you can build the tan over 2-3 days. I really love how it’s like applying regular lotion and it doesn’t leave your hands looking overly dark. It’s also organic and doesn’t have that horrible self-tanner smell, you know the one I’m talking about. I highly reccommend this since we’re heading into the fall/winter season. Same result as St.Tropez with a much smaller price tag.
I’m typically not a huge fan of sheet masks. I’m more partial to the deep cleaning mud masks, but my opinion has officially changed after trying these sheet masks. While they don’t deep cleanse like a mud or peel mask, they completely hydrate and rejuvenate your skin. There are five different kinds you can buy, I opted to use the 10 pm one before bed. While I was worried my skin would be greasy from the mask (the…juices, for lack of a better word, are very heavy in these), I was pleasantly surprised. I rubbed in the mask residue after removing the mask as the directions instructed and fell right to sleep. I woke up with glowing and hydrated skin and was extremely happy with the product. It made my skin feel especially nice after spending a day in the sun too!
Guys, this stuff is life changing. I’m always looking to switch up my shower routine, especially heading into the colder months. One thing that’s always bothered me was how dry my skin was after showering, when I don’t have time to put lotion on. I always wished there was a shower cleanser that would also keep my skin hydrated after the shower. While I don’t suggest skipping moisturizing the skin every day, this is definitely a nice fix for when you’re in a hurry. It also smells amazing and feels great on skin. It turns into a sort-of lotion mixture when it comes into contact with water so it doesn’t leave an oily residue on skin. This stuff is amazing for the fall/winter time. It is on the pricey side at $25, but so, so worth it!
This KONO Naturals lotion contains CBD oil which is amazing for soothing burnt skin, calming itchy skin and even getting rid of muscle aches and pains. This lotion has been a lifesaver this summer between sunburns, bug bites and sore muscles. I also love the lavender smell and all of the natural ingredients. I put this stuff on my skin right before bed and it really helps me sleep. It comes at a steep price at $65 a bottle, but offers complete healing properties that other lotions and creams don’t.
Thanks so much for reading, and I would love for you to tell me all about your favorite beauty buys in the comments!
