What’s In My Bag?
I’ve been dying to do this post for you all ever since I bought my Sole Society tote from the Nordstrom Sale! I love getting new tote bags and filling them with all of the essentials I need. Also, since a bunch of you are going back to school, this is the perfect time to get organized! So without further adieu…
Cell Phone I go no where without my phone, obviously. And you can’t have a cell phone without a cute case, amiright? So, thanks to caseable, they set me up with an awesome pineapple case for the summer and a marble style for the fall/winter. I’m completely in love with the pineapple one, it’s absolutely adorable! They have tons of other styles that you can choose from as well, including a customizable option where you can use your own pictures to create a case! I also received a
Some of my other favorite options:
iPad I got my iPad as a gift from my parents for graduation. I solely use it for blogging purposes and I absolutely love it. The newest update also makes it so user-friendly, you don’t even need a laptop anymore. While it definitely is on the pricey side, I would still recommend it to those of you heading into college. This will probably be making an appearance on my back-to-school post as well!
Headphones Lucky for me, I got a pair of Beats Wireless headphones with my iPad purchase. I had never tried beats before, but now, I completely understand what all the hype is about. These headphones are seriously so amazing. The sound is so unbelievably clear, it feels like I’m listening to a live show. I’m totally grateful to receive these for free, which you can too with the purchase of an iPad or MacBook and a student ID!
Charger Luckily, the iPhone charger works for the iPad as well, so I only need to carry around one charger. Depending on how much I’m doing with blogging that day, my battery can drain pretty quickly, so it’s important to have a charger on hand.
Sunscreen I’ve learned to carry around my Supergoop face sunscreen with me because I always seem to end up partaking in outdoor activities for most of my day. I love this particular one because it also has SPF 30 lip balm in the cap, so it’s like killing two birds with one stone. I highly recommend carrying some form of sunscreen, because you just never know what your day holds. Nobody needs that unfortunate burn on their face!
Hand Cream This is especially important during the winter. My favorite is the absinthe hand cream from The Body Shop, because it’s so light and never leaves my hands feeling greasy. My hands somehow always end up drying up throughout the day and I absolutely hate the feeling of dry skin. This stuff works quickly and effectively, without leaving an oily film behind.
Facial Mist This probably isn’t a necessity to carry around, but there’s something about rose water facial mist that’s so refreshing. I usually spritz this stuff on mid-day when I need a little hydration boost on my skin. The rose scent is also really calming and is really nice for when I’m feeling overwhelmed with my day.
1-Minute Facial I like these for when I’m caught going from place to place without catching a break. These PowerGlow Peels are great for giving skin a nice pick-me-up and creating a good, clean canvas for putting makeup on. Don’t be confused though, these aren’t makeup remover wipes, they’re just really great at cleansing skin.
Mini Dry Shampoo Dry shampoo is seriously a girl’s best friend. Especially in the summer humidity, it’s a complete necessity. It’s especially perfect for when I’m gone all day and don’t have any time for touchups! I love the Moroccan Oil one as well as the Klorane Dry Shampoo and they both last a pretty long time even though they’re minis!
Hair Clips I’ve been trying to grow out my hair so I’ve been steering clear of hair ties. I’ve traded up for these Scunci clips and I absolutely love them! I’ve always been a big hair tie girl until my friend got me to try these hair clips and I honestly don’t feel whole without one. They give my hair the perfect messy, laid-back look. I also don’t have to worry about the breakage caused by hair ties anymore; bye-bye constant shedding!
Planner/Notebook While I use my iPad for a lot of my planning and jotting down notes, sometimes when I’m in a hurry, it’s just easier for me to pull out a small notebook and jot down my ideas right there. You never know when inspiration is going to hit as a blogger, and it’s imperative to write down all your ideas as soon as they come. So, I like to keep a small notebook on hand for these types of special occasions.
A Pretty Pen And the reason I say pretty is because having a nice pen in my presence actually makes me want to get more work done, as weird as that sounds. It also helps me refrain from losing said “pretty pen” if it’s a little more expensive than a simple Bic pen. I really like the ones you can find at Target, because they’re not break-your-bank expensive, but they’re classy nonetheless. These Sugar Paper ones are too cute, and perfect for fall!
Wallet Obviously I carry a wallet around, that’s pretty self explanatory. I like to keep my wallet small though, so that it does fit into my cross body bags when I use those. I don’t like to carry change either, so the Michael Kors Leather Card Holder is the perfect size for me. And, they’re fall colors are amazing!
So there you have it! Everything I carry around with me on the daily. I’m telling you, with a crazy schedule like mine, all of these essentials are a lifesaver! Thanks so much for reading, and be sure to check out all of the back-to-school trends in my Ultimate Back to School Guide!!
