Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! While I’m graduated and not heading back to school anytime soon, I definitely have followers that are. The best part of back to school is all of the deals that are happening! I always loved picking out a new fall wardrobe. And even though I’m not headed back to school, it doesn’t mean I won’t be taking advantage of the amazing deals. I’m also going to create a back-to-school shop tab on my site, so that you can find everything much easier. I’ll also be keeping you all up to date on the latest sales happening over the next few weeks via Instagram Stories, so be sure to follow me there.
I really can’t believe it’s already back to school, though. Where did summer go? I feel like just yesterday we were celebrating Fourth of July. But, here we are and we can’t deny it, so let’s get into my picks for back-to-school season!
What You Need
Denim Are you even going back to school if you don’t have about five new pairs of jeans to show off? Okay, so you probably don’t need that many, but anywhere you can find jeans is most likely having a sale on them. So, now is definitely the time to snatch up a few pairs.
Basics Basics are great for layering. A few plain t-shirts are perfect for when you wake up and don’t feel like putting in much effort that day. Throw a drapey cardigan over that bad-boy and you got yourself a chic, laid-back outfit.
Fresh Kicks Okay, so the reason I say “fresh kicks” is because I’m talking about sneakers here. How badly I wish the trend of wearing sneakers with jeans was in when I was in high school… For real though, it’s actually cool now to wear sneakers with jeans, and they have such cute styles! Not to mention the fact they’re super comfortable.
A Stylish Backpack As much as I love my North Face backpack, it’s all about the stylish backpack nowadays. And whether or not you decide you want one of these for school, I definitely suggest it to put in your handbag arsenal. I have a fashion backpack and I honestly don’t know where I would be without it.
A Pretty Dress I loved wearing dresses in middle/high school, so pretty dresses will forever be on my back-to-school list. I just think a flowery dress with some white espadrille sneakers is the perfect outfit for your first day back!
Where to Shop
Abercrombie & Fitch Beyond in love with their jeans, they’re the only ones I buy. They’re also very inexpensive for really great quality. They’re currently having 50% off all jeans in stores and online.
American Eagle I know of a lot of people who absolutely love American Eagle jeans as well. They are less expensive than Abercrombie too which is great. They’re currently having BOGO 50% off in stores and online.
Express I like Express for their fashion tops and business clothing. I’ve never tried their jeans, but they are all under $40 (which is a phenomenal price) in stores and online as well as BOGO 50% off all tops.
H&M The holy grail for basics. You can score tons of tshirts, tank tops, sweaters, button downs, etc. here and still walk out spending less than $100. They’re also always having tons of deals when you go in, so you’re always going to find great sale items.
J.Crew J.Crew is usually a hit or miss for me. It’s outside of my budget typically, so I usually only walk out with one or two items. I add it to this list though because I do love the classic/preppy look of their clothes. They’re currently not having any good sales, but I’ll keep my eyes out.
LOFT LOFT is the kind of store I go into when I want something classy and fashionable. They’re great for long-enough shorts and sweaters. They usually have a 50% off everything sale late in the summer, so I’ll keep you all up to date as to when that happens. Currently though, they’re having 60% off all sale styles which includes some really great back-to-school items.
Old Navy Another amazing store for basics. I’m not a huge fan of their jeans, but definitely a big fan of their dresses and tops. You can always find some great deals at Old Navy too. They’re currently having up to 50% off all jeans and tops in stores and online.
