Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s been a busy week with the ship leaving for sea term this past Monday (I go to a school called Massachusetts Maritime Academy and every winter some kids go out to sea for 6 weeks on what we call Sea Term. It’s much different than any college, and if you’re really interested you can google it). I’ll be catching up with the ship in Barbados on the 28th to go on half of sea term, which I’m super excited about! Like I mentioned in my last post, the ports of call that I will be getting to go to are Barbados, St. Thomas and Ft. Lauderdale. I’m so excited to share all of my trip details with you as well as all of the outfits I’ll be wearing.
Anyway, before I get too far off track (I’m just so excited) I want to give you all the details on my super simple outfit!
Cardigan: Old Navy (similar color) (similar style) // T-Shirt: Old Navy (only $7!) // Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch (similar , similar) // Booties: Sam Edelman (similar w/out the fringe) // Backpack/Handbag: Henri Bendel // Sunglasses: Bluekiki
Unfortunately, I can’t find this Old Navy cardigan anywhere, I got it on Black Friday and I should have posted about it sooner, so my apologies for that. I did link a couple of other Old Navy cardigans though, one that is the same color and one of the same style. My t-shirt is also Old Navy and I’m wearing a size small for reference, as well as the cardigan. I love Old Navy because they have really good quality clothing for inexpensive prices, which fits perfectly with my college budget. This cardigan is so soft and cozy and the color goes well with so much, it’s such a shame I couldn’t find it for you all.
As for my jeans, I raved all about them in my last blog post (which you can check out here). You can definitely tell here why I love the ankle length so much compared to normal length jeans. I just think the break between the hem of the jeans and the top of my booties is really cute. These jeans look unreal with my Adidas All-Stars. Definitely worth the investment, I promise. I linked a pair of black Abercrombie & Fitch jeans that are just like mine, but distressed and I also linked a pair of black ankle jeans from Nieman Marcus that are just like mine and on sale for $56!
I love these Sam Edelman booties, I think they’re super unique because of the color and I like how there is just a slight detail of fringe to add a little something. I’m not too crazy about shoes with too much fringe, so these are perfect. Unfortunately, these booties are also out of date, but I made sure to link a pair that are just like mine but without the fringe.
As for my handbag, it is easily one of my favorites. I’m telling you right now, this item is definitely on the pricey side at $298, but it is so worth it. I love all of the space it provides and the fact that it’s a backpack makes it so much better. I bring this bag with me everywhere and even use it as an overnight bag sometimes (yes, it holds that much stuff). It’s also super stylish and comes in a lot of different colors for both fall/winter and spring/summer. I’m partial to the gray and black, just because it’s neutral and goes with so much, but I also really love this honey-tan color.
Next week I begin packing for my four-week adventure. I’m freaking out that I won’t have enough space! Hopefully the travel gods will help a girl out and I can make sure I fit everything I need for school as well as all of the stuff I want to wear out in port. Wish me luck everyone!
