Wow, it’s been weeks since I’ve posted on the blog. The holidays were hectic as always, but I loved getting the time to spend with my family. But, now that it’s all over I get to focus on my blog until I go away on the 23rd. I’m going to Vero Beach, Florida, then Barbados, St. Thomas, and finishing back in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I can’t wait to share with all of you my amazing experiences when I get back! I’m going to work really hard on queuing some posts for you all the week before I leave, so that my blog isn’t completely dead the four weeks I’m away.
Anyway, I’m so excited to share with you all this super cute sweater I got last week during after-Christmas shopping! It’s so perfect for crisp winter days and goes great with jeans or a skirt. Scroll down below for all the details!
So, this sweater I got from Aerie, which I haven’t shopped at for years, so I was totally surprised with this great find! I’m wearing a size small for reference and it also comes in black. I like how you can adjust the turtleneck as well to either make it go all the way up the neck or short like I’m wearing it. It’s also a short sweater so it sits just below the button of my jeans which are already high waisted. I wouldn’t call it cropped, but I like the length because it shows off my curves and doesn’t get caught on my butt or hips (blessed).
My black ankle jeans are Abercrombie and Fitch, which is where I get all of my jeans. They just fit me really well, and while they’re pretty expensive for my college budget, I can usually get lucky and find them at 50% off. I’ve really been digging the ankle jean trend, I now have 4 pairs… okay so maybe obsessed is a more appropriate word? The length is just so perfect for any type of shoe, whether it be sneakers, flats, sandals, booties or regular boots. The ones linked here are the same style as mine, just distressed. Also, if you have a pair of jeans that are too long (short girl problems) you can totally just cut them to just above the ankle and you now have your own pair of unhemmed ankle jeans. I did it with a pair of mine and I promise it’s worth it.
I’m loving my new Lauren by Ralph Lauren riding boots! Crazy enough, I have only ever bought Ralph Lauren riding boots. I have really short legs and I hate when the back of the boot hits where my leg bends (it’s really uncomfortable when sitting), but Ralph Lauren boots are just a tad bit shorter, so they fit perfectly. Every year on Black Friday I just buy a new pair of the exact same riding boots. Stick with what you know, am I right? They’re on the pricy side (if you’re low on funds like me), but definitely worth it if you wear them all the time like I do.
Now let’s talk about my rose gold sunnies! I’ve been looking for a pair of rose gold sunglasses for about a year now. I didn’t want to invest a large amount into them, but I still wanted a pair as more of a fashion accessory. So, when my brother got me a gift card to Amazon for my birthday (thanks brotha) I decided to finally pull the trigger and buy a pair. Let me tell you, I’m obsessed! These definitely aren’t high end sunnies (they’re only $29 on Amazon) but they are so worth it to look super fly on the beach this summer. The lenses are a little big on my face, but like I said, for the price and style they’re really great glasses.
Unfortunately tomorrow is Monday and it’s back to reality, but I hope you all have an amazing week!
