The best part of fall is that there are SO many fun activities to do during the fall. The problem is, especially with us college kids, is that it is so hard to find things to do on the cheap. Being 21 and a Senior, I love to go out with my friends and have a good time, but the bars are so expensive. I decided that rather than spend an expensive night out on the town, I would have a GNI with my bestie! We made some delicious fall sangria, which the recipe I will include in this post, baked some spooky ghost cookies, watched Hocus Pocus and had a spa night! All together the whole night cost us about $15 a piece, such a deal for a night of such fun.
You can find the recipe for our fall sangria below, which is super easy to make I might add, as well as a list of inexpensive at-home spa products, to get for a spa night with your best gal pal! Have a fun, frugal and wonderful fall night!
These glasses were just $6 at Marshall’s!
Apple Cider Sangria
1 750mL Bottle of Pinot Grigio (we use the Barefoot kind)
2 Nips of Smirnoff Caramel Kiss
About 1/2 to 3/4 of a Quart of Apple Cider
2 1/2 Apples Chopped
Caramel and Cinnamon Sugar for Garnish
Take a large container and pour the chopped apples in. Next pour the nips in followed by the bottle of wine. Finally top it off with the apple cider and voila, you have some delicious Apple Cider Sangria! To garnish the glasses, heat up the caramel sauce in a small dish and dip the edge of the glass in. Roll the edge lightly in the cinnamon sugar.
This sangria is seriously the best and is perfect for fall!
